Glabridin 95

Glabridin 95 is a highly purified extract from licorice roots, containing over 95% glabridin. It is used in cosmetics for skin lightening and is more effective than kojic acid in inhibiting tyrosinase activity and melanin production.

Glabridin 95 also acts as a potent antioxidant, protecting mitochondria from oxidative damage. It impacts melanogenesis by inhibiting tyrosinase expression, decreasing its catalytic activity, and reducing Endothelin-1 release, while also decreasing Phospholipase A2 activity.
